Mickey Renaud Captain's Trophy - Team Captain Exemplifying Character and Commitment

The Mickey Renaud Captain's Trophy is an award in the Ontario Hockey League which is given to one team captain every year. The award was announced on February 4, 2009. The recipient is, one that best exemplifies the character and commitment that Mickey Renaud displayed during his career with the Windsor Spitfires. Renaud was Captain of the Windsor Spitfires before his sudden death on February 18, 2008 of the rare heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
